Volunteers...We need you! 

 Are you interestVolunteer Giving Patient Flowers photoed in becoming a part of a special group of people dedicated to improving the health of the Easley community? Volunteer members have been serving Baptist Easley Hospital since 1958. Volunteers provide the hospital with highly competent, compassionate service. They are used to support staff by greeting patients, assisting with meal trays, transporting patients, stocking supplies, helping with patient registration and in many other areas of the hospital.

Volunteer Benefits

  • Auxiliary membership (for volunteers 18 years of age or older) 
  • Service Awards are presented at an annual recognition banquet. 
  • Free flu vaccines are available for volunteers during flu season.
  • Baptist Easley Hospital Credit Union checking and savings accounts are available. Enrollment requires a one time service charge of $10 and a deposit of $25 into a regular interest paying savings plan.
  • Lifetime membership is granted once enrolled.In-service educational courses are offered to volunteers by Baptist Easley Hospital at the same price employees pay.
  • Hospital discounts are given to volunteers after 500 hours of service. A 25 percent discount on inpatient services (after insurance) and/or 50 percent discount on outpatient services (after insurance) is available. ($2,500 maximum discounts per year)
  • Volunteers receive a complimentary hospital cafeteria meal for each scheduled 4-hour shift or volunteer activity.

Volunteer Auxiliary Membership

For 50 years, Baptist Easley Hospital has been a significant part of this community. By joining the volunteer auxiliary, members support the hospital, as well as, the community through cook book sales, holiday bazaars, bake sales, and various other activities.

Baptist Easley Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary provided support to the various projects:

  • Newborn Christmas stockings
  • Gift bags to every patient during the holidays

Steps to Becoming A Volunteer

Each volunteer must complete an application. Click here to apply online. A physician reference and two personal references (not family members) are required. A background check is part of the application process. After your application is processed, you will be called to schedule an interview with the director of Volunteer Services. During the interview you will be scheduled for tuberculosis screening. An area of service and a work schedule will be selected. You will also be given the date for the next orientation class.
